Weather at Costa Rica |

|
The weather in Costa Rica is mainly tropical/sub-tropical due to its proximity to the equator. Costa Rica has two main seasons: The dry season (December to April) and the wet season (May to November). Despite the country's small size, the climate in it varies greatly between areas. The shores on either side of the country are the warmest areas, while the more central area and the cloud forests and rainforests experience nicer, slightly cooler weather. In the San Jose area it feels like it is permanently spring, with an average temprature of 22°C. Weather-wise, can visit Costa Rica any time of the year. Every season has its own advantages: During the dry season it is easier to go on nature tours, visibility is better, and the sun is out longer; however, the rainy season has fewer tourists, so it is less crowded and hotel and service costs are lower. Rivers are more full of water and the air is clearer. |
